The song is about a broken hearted girl being chased back by her self centered foolish ex-boyfriend who might not give back the love and emotions that she equally deserved. So, one day the girl gave up and said "i'm done" and left him with her broken heart which triggered the guy to truly reflect back on his mistreatment towards her and how he sabotaged the relationship and didn't give back the love,emotions and care which he received from her and that makes him realised his true feelings for her that he actually cannot live without her ,so he chased her back n probably send a sincere apology but it was too late becos the girl was already broken, saying "all the mistreatments, the sabotages and the unequal give and take of love from each other and the tears outta broken heart wiped away the love she once had for him because she's afraid of being broken again.
